I have decided to try and complete an Ironman. Wisconsin, being my home state, is the only one I have the desire to do. This is my journey for the next 53 weeks before Ironman Wisconsin, 2008.
After General Smallwood Tri - "Think how you would have felt if we had tapered for this, or at least not having had that long ride the day before! This is a TOUGH way to end a week! You did fine." E-mail 6/29/08
After my Columbia Triathlon - "Nice job today! I am impressed!" - E-mail (and vmail) 5/18/08
Comments after my rest week - "It doesn't matter how much you do. You will never feel like your doing enough." - E-mail 12/31/07
"This was by far your best week! Really impressive and lots of good things." - E-mail 12/24/07
When I told Coach there was no gym in my San Fran hotel and couldn't workout for about a week and a half "It is what it is. Its a situation you have no control over, so don't beat yourself up over it" - E-mail 11/5/07
In regards to my running and HR info "This is WAY cool!" At least someone is happy with how it's going... E-mail 10/28/07
"Your doing great Amanda, keep it up! A few weeks (in this case months) to work hard, a lifetime to remember." - E-mail 9/17/07
"Keep those Ironman dreams flowing!" E-mail 9/12/07
"This a one year build up to an emotional event that you wont understand until you cross the finish line Amanda. In the end, all I can tell you is this, all the hard work, all the sacrifice, and there will HAVE to be some, is absolutely worth it!" - E-mail 9/11/07
"Your training for an Ironman NOW, not later!" - E-mail 9/11/07
In regards to other races - "if your going to train this hard, lets have some fun while were at it!" - E-mail 9/5/07
After my Iron Girl race on my bike and overall time - "Your going to be fine" - E-mail 8/21/07
"Anyway, enough gabbing, lets get started! I've got an Ironman to build!" - E-mail 7/25/07
